Medowie Town Teams
In May 2023 Port Stephens Council launched Town Teams (TT) in Medowie, which you can read about HERE (scroll down to TT info).
TT is a national movement which you can read about HERE, noting that TT is "a very social enterprise ... We enable local communities and governments to connect, organise and act to regenerate the fabric of their neighbourhoods and to create better places".
The TT initiative follows MEDOWIE'S MAY 2021 RECORD BREAKING 7 DAY MAKEOVER (7DM) which re purposed our town centre park and surrounds.
While the 7DM was one week of all hands on deck to accomplish a specific makeover project, TT is an ongoing involvement of community volunteers who continue in the spirit of placemaking and other improvements for our community.
To-date three TT groups have formed and new people are always welcome.
TT's complement the many existing groups that exist in Medowie, noting that many residents are involved in multiple groups.
