port stephens council proposal for rate rise
COMMUNITY INPUT SOUGHT
Port Stephens Council is considering an application to the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) for a Special Rate Variation (SRV) in 2019 and is seeking community views on the proposed rate options.
There have been 2 communication sessions in Medowie and many throughout the Council area to help people understand the reasons for the proposal and the different levels of rises and their impacts on our towns and environment.
People are urged to either complete a survey for the Council or make written submissions (email or handwritten) so that the Council may consider your views. See the Port Stephens Council site for fact sheets and contact details http://www.portstephens.nsw.gov.au/your-council/about-council/public-exhibition/investing-in-our-community
